Time passes, ongoing projects evolve, and new ones appear on the horizon.
...calme et volupté was enthusiastically received when it premiered in Brussels in May, and has since been performed twice more, in Mons and Charleroi. Another public performance is planned for early 2026. The video of the concert is available here.
Pianist Stéphanie Salmin's program Valses à mille temps (Thousand Beat's Waltzes) offers a selection of scores from the 19th and 20th centuries, combining classical repertoire and jazz themes. A number of these waltzes have been arranged by me, not to mention my own Valse-étude de salon, which has been part of her repertoire for a long time. This program will generate several concerts and a CD recording. Two of my arrangements are already available, as video clips: Les chemins de l'amour and L'indifférence. Enjoy!
The Intemporelles project is still in development (see the information already provided here), and will be out in the wild during the 2026/27 season, directed by Pierre Lericq. Something to look forward to...
My arrangements for the Troupe Vertigo circus show were unanimously approved at the preview in Lubbock, Texas, in September. The show will take off next season, and other arrangements will be added to those already completed.
My loyal partner, conductor Todd Ellison, will conduct the New Year's Eve concert in Huntsville, Alabama, on December 31. The city's symphony orchestra will perform my arrangements of I Will Wait for You, I Can't Be Bothered Now, and Yellow Submarine, written especially for the occasion.
Other projects are on the go for the fast-approaching 2026. Stay tuned for my next post.
