I've lost count of the number of times I've worked with the conductor Hervé Niquet, who is always on the lookout for new projects off the beaten track, as evidenced by the eclecticism of his rich output. For the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, as part of the recent Symphonie sur l'Herbe festival, I adapted and wrote no less than 5 symphonic arrangements at Hervé's request. Another new arrangement, this time for choir and a few instruments, will be part of a collaboration with the Opéra national du Capitole de Toulouse in December. This arrangement of Sacha Distel's 'La belle vie' will be joined by others written for Hervé a few years ago for the Méli-mélo show with the choirs of the Vlaams Radiokoor. And more : for the New Year's Eve concerts (December 29, 30 and 31, 2023), Maestro Niquet will conduct the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and program again my arrangements of 2021 (New Year's Eve concerts in Nantes and Angers) on titles by Edith Piaf, George Gershwin and Henri Betti.
